We leveraged the very unique and engaging personality of Dr. Dave Willliams, Canadian Space Agency astronaut and physician, and created exceptional video tools that allow him to show how a fascinating blend of scientific disciplines, physical training, and virtual reality all come into play as he and fellow crew members prepare for the NASA STS-118 mission. HyperActive has created a series of English and French video podcasts under the overall title “My Body in Space”, featuring Dr. Williams. The astronaut explains topics that include preparation on land in underwater and virtual environments; about how the human body adjusts and adapts to living in a zero gravity environment for extended periods of time; about working in a weightless environment and the demands it puts on the body; and more. The podcasts were be deployed by the Canadian Space Agency in a timeframe that is linked to NASA shuttle STS-118 mission, August 2007. |
